Taneks believes in supplying top quality only. This grows on the high mountains of the inner Anatolia region. The season starts in the beginning of June until to the end of July.
The very sensitive harvesting and packaging process is aimed at ensuring a long shelf life, and that cherries are delivered completely fresh to the final customer.
After the harvest, every cherry is hydro-cooled at 0 degrees in organically treated water within 3 hours.
Taneks top quality Napoleon cherries are subsequently stored at 0 degrees humidity, in a controlled cold storage area for 24 hours. After this, sizing and quality selection of cherries are done with a cherry hydro packing machine. All packing is done with the necessity for a strict maintenance of the cold chain taken into account. Finally, cherries are packed in atmosphere controlled bags to increase its shelf life.
Packaging can be done in 5kg or in 500 gram punnets with tailor-made branded labels.
All production is closely checked and all certified by GlobalGAP. Taneks has 20 hectars of cherries own production in 5 different areas.
